BudgetNest ("the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using BudgetNest, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Your Financial Data

BudgetNest is designed to help you manage your personal finances while keeping your data under your control. Your expenses, budgets, categories, currencies, and other financial records are stored locally on your device unless you choose to use features that synchronize or back up your data in the future.

BudgetNest does not require you to create an account to use the core features of the App.

2. Information We Collect

To improve the quality, reliability, and performance of BudgetNest, we may collect limited technical information, including:

• Anonymous usage analytics.
• Crash reports and diagnostic information.
• Device model and operating system version.
• Application version and language settings.
• Subscription status required to unlock Premium features.

BudgetNest does not intentionally collect your financial account credentials, payment card numbers, banking information, or personally identifiable financial information.

3. Permissions

BudgetNest may request the following permission to provide its security features:

• Face ID / Device Authentication — Used to securely unlock and protect access to your financial data within the App.

Face ID and device authentication are managed entirely by your device's operating system. BudgetNest does not access, collect, store, or transmit your biometric information. We only receive confirmation from your device that authentication was successful.

You may disable Face ID access at any time through your device settings, although doing so may limit certain security features within the App.

4. Analytics & Diagnostics

BudgetNest uses Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used so we can improve the overall user experience.

We also use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information that helps us identify bugs, improve stability, and enhance performance.

These services may collect anonymous technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and usage events.

5. Advertising

The free version of BudgetNest may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

Google AdMob may collect certain device identifiers and usage information to provide, personalize, and measure advertisements in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Users with an active Premium subscription enjoy an ad-free experience.

6. Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions are securely processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. BudgetNest never receives or stores your payment card information.

We receive only the information necessary to determine your subscription status and enable Premium features.

7. Third-Party Services

BudgetNest uses trusted third-party services to operate and improve the App.

• Google Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Google AdMob
• Apple App Store
• Google Play Store

These providers operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

8. Data Sharing

BudgetNest does not sell or rent your personal information.

Anonymous technical information may be shared only with trusted service providers that help us deliver analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and subscription verification.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Where applicable, information transmitted to our service providers is protected using industry-standard encryption.

Because your financial records are stored locally on your device, we encourage you to protect your device with a passcode or biometric authentication.

10. Children's Privacy

BudgetNest is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page together with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of BudgetNest after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
